First Visit Expectations

Let’s get to know each other

Your child’s first visit is not only about our team getting to know them, but also about your child getting to know us!

In the time we spend together, we encourage you and your child to ask questions, express any concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make their care as unique as they are.

If your child is still an infant, a first patient visit will entail a happy baby visit, where parents can come and tour the practice, meet the doctor and staff and check out the sports-themed, kid-friendly environment.

Our more common first visit takes place after a tour and introduction. An assistant will bring you and your child into a quiet treatment room and, after a brief review of your child’s medical history, the assistant will review oral hygiene instructions, brushing and flossing techniques, nutrition, and will use tell-show-do teach them at the same time.

Our hygienist will clean your child’s teeth, and Dr. Wexler will come in to do an exam and talk with you and your child about any findings. Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your child’s dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger treatments to give them a smile you deserve in a timeframe you can afford.
